He’s got our backs when we give
I was reading today and came across Isaiah 58:6-8 where it talks of the blessings and joy of giving. And the final promise says “and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rearward”. So in today’s clichéd phase of “having your back”, the Lord promises to have ours when we give of ourselves.
2 Nephi 2:25, that we might have joy.
This is one of my favorites:
25 Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy.

Ping
Ping represents the first of many happy occasions in a developers life. It is usually celebrated with Goodberry’s frozen custard and an email to everyone who may or may not know or care. It signifies that you’ve finally been able to communicate all the way through to another intelligent entity. All the registers, tables and counters were initialized correctly; all the bytes were sent in the right order and so on. It’s “hello world” but a magnitude of order more complicated. So though I say “ping” here, I should probably just say “hello world” and leave it at that.
Hello world!
